Forsyth County Honored with Safety Achievement Awards
Winston-Salem, NC - Cherie K. Berry, Commissioner of the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) presented twenty one (21) Forsyth County agencies with Safety Achievement Awards during an awards luncheon at the Cross Creek Country Club in Mount Airy. This is the fifth consecutive year that Forsyth County has been recognized.
The prestigious Safety Awards are given to North Carolina employers that achieve and maintain outstanding employee safety and health programs and highlight the benefits of providing a safe and healthy workplace for both the employer and its employees. Recipients are selected based on their achievements. The work site must be free of fatalities and the injury and illness rate must be 50 percent below the industry average for the particular work group.
Paul Fulton, Forsyth County’s Chief Financial Officer said “Recognition for providing a safe working environment for its employees is one of the highest honors an employer can receive. These awards are directly attributable to the professionalism of our employees and the dedication of Forsyth County’s leadership.”
