Social Services available at Public Library branches
Forsyth County Social Services is available at select library branches one day a week to help residents apply for benefits like food and nutrition, Medicaid and energy assistance. Social Services staff can also answer benefit-related questions.
Minimum Housing Code Enforcement
The Community & Economic Development department enforces the Minimum Housing Code in Forsyth County, apart from the City of Winston-Salem and Town of Kernersville. Staff investigate complaints, work with property owners to achieve voluntary compliance, and administer enforcement procedures as necessary.
